COUNTERFEIT CURRENCY - Assistant Commissioner of Police John Rolle describes the flaws of a counterfeit $50 dollar bill at a press conference held Thursday July 1st, 1999 at Police Headquarters in Freeport, Grand Bahama. Over $300 dollars worth of ten and fifty dollar notes have been seized by police from various banks and merchants in Freeport. HEAD TO HEAD - Opposing High Rock candidates Burton Miller (left) former chief councilor and Greg Smith (right) of the Smith and Smith campaign shake hands and exchange remarks as celebrations went on Wednesday evening June 30th, 1999 at the Free National Movement Headquarters in Freeport, Grand Bahama. It was declared unofficially by the Parliamentary Registration Department that Burton Miller and Diane Wildgoose were re-elected for the High Rock constituency. The Miller team led a parade along East Sunrise Highway through downtown Freeport waving and cheering to traffic, blowing horns and flashing lights. Hundreds of excited supporters, including Minister of Tourism C.A. Smith and Minister of State David Thompson, gathered at the FNM headquarters for the arrival of the parade.
